Writing Star offers the convenience of typing less by creating abbreviations for long phrases of your choice.

It is incredibly useful when you find yourself sharing the same details multiple times. Instead of copying and pasting, simply enter the short forms to instantly retrieve the complete information.

The autofill feature means that as soon as you type a keyword, it will be automatically replaced with the associated text. You can customize this by adding your preferred text to be substituted with short terms.

For instance, by setting 'ADR' for address and entering your full address as a phrase, typing 'Adr' next time will display your complete address on the screen.

How does Writing Star: Text Expander & Auto-complete Text App work?

• Open the application and click on the "+" to add a phrase of your choice.
• Enter short terms in the provided box.
• Specify the full phrase you want to appear as a result.
• You can include date, time, day, month, year, and hour in the phrase to customize messages when using short terms.
• Add notes if necessary.
• In settings, enable night mode if preferred.
• Utilize Text Expansion Settings to tailor your requirements.
• Adjust appearance settings including overlay screen for shortcut suggestions.

Backspace to undo:

If you wish to revert words back to their original form, simply press backspace once to disable auto-complete.

Smart case:

With smart case enabled, the case of your short word determines the case of its long-phrase conversion. Disabling smart case retains the original case specified in Writing Star's phrase settings.

Append space:

Enabling this option automatically adds a space at the end of inserted phrases.

Expand with space/punctuation:

You may trigger text expansion using space and punctuation characters. Mixing these in your text will result in displaying the complete phrase.

Blacklisted Apps:

Add apps for which you prefer not to use word expansions while they are active.

Activating this feature provides an overlay screen with a list of suggestions tailored for specific words entered.

Determine the minimum character count required to display the indicator window onscreen.
